Create WhatsApp campaign

Steps to create a WhatsApp campaign using Lemnisk Marketing Automation Platform.

Create WhatsApp Campaign

Step 1: Create a WhatsApp engagement

  1. Go to Campaigns > Segments

  2. Select the Segment Name

  3. Click on WhatsApp on the left panel

  4. Click on Add Engagement

  1. Go to Campaigns > Channels

  2. Click on Whatsapp on the left panel

  3. Click on Add Engagement

  4. Select Segment Name from the list

  5. Click on Confirm And Proceed To the Next Step

Step 2: Add General details of Engagement

  • Engagement Name (mandatory): Enter a name for the Engagement. It should range from 6-25 characters.

  • Label (mandatory): Choose a product label from the list. Click to learn more about Product Label.

Step 3: Add a Goal Goal Type: Choose a goal type from the list. You can set it to none if the goal is not decided yet. To know more about Conversion Goals, follow guide.

As you enter the data into each section to create an Engagement, the section will turn red. Once all the information about the section has been entered, the section will turn green. You can complete the sections in any order, but the sections must turn green before you click Save.

Step 4: Add content

Adding content varies according to the template configured with each WhatsApp service provider.

In Yellow Messenger, you can configure the template manually as the vendor does not provide any API to fetch the template details.

Template Name: Choose your template. The upcoming field will be displayed as per the requirement of the template configured in Gupshup

Variable Mapping: Customize the variables to match the template configured in the yellow messenger. You can add or remove variable mapping to match the template. These variable mapping will fetch the data from Lemnisk to personalize the communication.

The variable mapping you add here should match the template configured in Yellow Messenger. If the variable does not match with the template, the campaign will not be carried forward. To test whether your variable matches the template, just

Add a Button to your template: You can configure the template with a button to redirect the users to the target page by selecting the check box and adding the target URL.

Include media: You can upload the media either as a URL or as a file using the radio buttons. The supported media file formats are images, docs, and video.

The recommended aspect ratio of the Image is 1.9:1. Any image exceeding the aspect ratio will be auto-cropped or modified by WhatsApp.

Add File Name: Add the file name and click Submit.

Choose Template: You can choose a template that is configured for your WhatsApp communication. The variable mapping fields will be reflected as per your template configuration to fetch the macros.

Template Text: The message will be delivered as per the template you configured. The text displayed here is read-only.

Template Message variable mapping: Configure variables to the message as per the template. These variables will fetch data based on the given inputs from Lemnisk.

Template Button variable mapping: Configure the variables to the button in the template using Template button variable mapping.

Template Preview: You can preview your WhatsApp templates in the preview section to see how WhatsApp would look on different devices. The preview is updated in real time. You can view it on mobile and desktop.

Include media: You can add the media either as a URL or as a file using the radio buttons and take the necessary actions like adding the URL or uploading the file by clicking the button Upload. The supported media file formats are images, docs, and video.

Enter the Document Name: Enter the filename (for doc media type only) and click Submit.

Include media( If required in the template): You can add the media either as a URL or as a file using the radio buttons and take the necessary actions like adding the URL or uploading the file by clicking the button Upload. The supported media file formats are images, docs, and video.

The recommended aspect ratio of the Image is 1.9:1. Any image exceeding the aspect ratio will be auto-cropped or modified by WhatsApp.

Click: Enable Click tracking if the message body contains any URL. This featured will be available from Infobip if, you have opted for.

Custom domain: This section will allow you to use custom domains if needed.

Template Id: Add the Template Id which will be provided by the BIK.ai. You cannot manually create the content for the engagement as it can only be created as a part of template creation from the BIK.ai dashboard. You can, however, give customization parameters and a few other parameters such as URL, media, etc. Primarily, you have to use the same template ID that's created on the BIK.ai dashboard along with all the supporting parameters the template facilitates. Template Name: Give a name for the template (It is suggested to use the same name as the one given to the template on the BIK.ai dashboard - for better understanding and mapping)

Language: Choose the language for your communication.

Variable Mapping: Map the variables as per the template to configure your engagement's communication. You can use macros too.

Include CTA: Add CTA for the button if the template facilitates. The CTA can be of three types -URL, Contact, and Quick Reply. URL can be given from the UI. Macros can be used in the URL. Contact has to be given from the template itself from the BIK.ai dashboard. For the Quick Reply, you must add the chat flow ID provided by BIK.ai. Chat flow ID is a messaging flow that will be created in BIK.ai to facilitate two-way communication.

Include media (If the template facilitates): You can add the media either as a URL or as a file using the radio buttons and take the necessary actions like adding the URL or uploading the file by clicking the button Upload. The supported media file formats are images, docs, and video.

The recommended aspect ratio of the Image is 1.9:1. Any image exceeding the aspect ratio will be auto-cropped or modified by WhatsApp.

Enter Template Name: Enter the template name that you would like to configure in this engagement.

Template Text: The message will be delivered as per the template you configured. The text displayed here is read-only.

Step 6: Save " Save" the Engagement and verify through the "Try it out" option

Once you have created an Engagement, you can neither change the name of the engagement nor change the schedule settings.
