Example Use Cases of External APIs

This document explains the use cases of three different APIs and demonstrates the configuration and engagement creation of those APIs.

Let's go through three use cases of External API to help you realise the utility and flexibility it provides in integrating any third-party API on the go, all by yourself. We will go through two examples with global level payload and one example with engagement level payload

Use case 1: HubSpot - Create Contacts API

Businesses use Hubspot CRM for sales and marketing for optimal customer engagement. Hubspot offers an array of APIs that sync data between platforms to engage customers with the relevant data.

In this use case, we will go through the implementation of passing contacts to HubSpot CRM's Create contact API by configuring Lemnisk's external API at the global level and creating engagement. we configure this API in the global level payload as the payload value will be the same in all the engagements.

Use case 2- Exotel's Make-a-call API

Exotel is a voice communication platform that facilitates making automated calls for businesses and marketing to engage customers.

You can use Exotel's API to pass lead information from Lemnisk CDP to the Exotel call database. This use case demonstrates the configuration of Exotel's voice call API and feeds data from Lemnisk for businesses to engage customers through voice calls.

Use Case -3-Mailmodo API (Engagement Level)

Mailmodo makes your email marketing easy with automated emails which can be personalised with relevant information with custom templates to engage the right audiences. With Mailmodo, you can send AMP emails like form submissions and subscriptions and receive the data directly to the platform you integrated.

Mailmodo's integration with Lemnisk will help you to make email engagements directly from the platform through Mailmodo by passing data to the Mailmodo API. This demonstration helps you configure Mailmodo's email API with Lemnisk. As every engagement in Mailmodo demands a different payload, the payload value will be configured at the engagement level.
