Google Ads Export Channel

This document talks about the requirements from the client to setup Google Ads Export Channel.

Introduction

Google Ads Export channel helps the clients to set up segments on Lemnisk UI and export them to their respective business managers in real-time.

Setup Guide

User Identifiers

The user identifiers help you find existing users by collecting their information such as email, mobile number, etc. Google Ads hashes this information and then matches it with the profiles of your customers so that you can advertise to them.

To further ease the process, you can use macros that record and automate repetitive tasks in Lemnisk.

Audience Export Setup

You first have to create an engagement to set up Google Ads notifications. Let's create an engagement.

  • Navigate to Lemnisk > Activate drop-down> Channels. The Channel Summary tab opens by default.

  • Then, click +Add Engagement. A Create an Engagement pop-up appears.

  • Now, select a segment from the Select Segment drop-down.

  • Click Confirm & Proceed to the next step.

  • In the General Settings section, type the engagement name in the Engagement Name text box.

  • Check the box and select one of the export options to define your export.

  • From the Select Label drop-down, select the label.

  • Click Save. Your engagement is created successfully and will appear under the Google Ads Export tab.

  • You can activate/deactivate the engagement at any time using the toggle switch, under the Status column.

  • The Exported Audience will have the same name as the Engagement Name.

  • The user will be automatically removed from the audience once the user moves out of the segment.

  • An option will be provided to Set an Expiry(TTL) to flush the user from the Audience.

Reporting

You will be assisted with audience creation, pixelling, and user uploads in Lemnisk.

As the campaign is hosted on the Google Ads UI, we would not be taking ownership of the performance and reporting.

Journey Builder Support

Google Ads Export as a channel can be only used as the last node in the user journey.

Supported Audience Exports

Only Export of User Identifiers is supported in Journey Builder as Segment Tagging would require the user to come back to the website.

Requirements

The user with admin rights has to carry out the following steps to share the required credentials:

  • Google Ads MCC ID

  • Add the GA account ID to the URL and enter.

  • Once the client clicks on the link, a popup will be shown to request access.

Currently, we only support the export of users with hashed email and hashed mobile.

Click Google Ads Export tab or click icon in the Google Ads Export tab in the dashboard.
